Also, Usability and the Union

Right after we had our class discussion the other day I was frantically racing around the union because I had this initiatio/elections/banquet thing to go to and I forgot to right the name of the room down so i didnt know where to go... and getting from floor to floor and area to area in that place is out of control!!! I mean, unless you are there a whole lot, and I think that i am there at least twice a week for some meeting or other.. you get so lost. And i've been here for four years now. I mean, the names of the rooms are pretty... the violet room, the capitol room, the sandburg lounge.. but what do they tell you? They are not error tollerant because I usually have to do at least one lap around the place to find where I am going.. in very uncomftorable shoes too!! It is not really effective because the names of the rooms give no hint as to the right floor.. and effiecient the system is not because like I said... walking walking walking... in uncomfy shoes... It is engaging because finding where I am suppsoed to be gets all of my attention for a short time... and if one goes enough it is easy to pick up on MAYBE.. i mean, everyone knows the grand ballroom.. but... can anyone tell me where the chicago room is??? so annoying....
